Background: I'm playing Zack by excluding any and all information coming from Dirge of Cerberus and Crisis Core because I haven't played the one (thus not knowing if there was any involvement with him at all) and the other hasn't been released except for trailers, the tease. So. Zack. Is kinda dead. He hopes that won't end up being much of a deterrent, he's very spry for a dead man. Once a SOLDIER First Class in the Shinra army, he accompanied his superior officer Sephiroth, one Cloud Strife and another unnamed army regular to Nibelheim where the world fell apart, Sephiroth went insane, there was much stabbing with ridiculously big swords, and the pretty man got tossed into a gigantic vat of mako that sent him off to live in a crystal for a good many years.
Except I'm not talking about Sephiroth. I'm talking about Zack who got himself hauled off on a stretcher where he was a guinea pig for the resident mad scientist to practice his clone theory on. Four years and a couple months later, he escapes with a mako-poisoned Cloud, goes running halfway across one continent, a goodly portion of another, and gets himself shot just before they reach their destination. It was a very unpleasant experience and he would not recommend it if you must know. The whereabouts of his body are not known, but if you've seen it, he'd much appreciate a decent burial if you please.
Personality: Zack is fundamentally the kind of man I want to marry. >.>; No. Seriously. He's cocky, cheerful, warm and friendly. Big on the joking, not so much on rule-abiding, has a pretty big hate for sitting around and doing paperwork. He's always there for the people that matter and'll stand by you no matter what you get yourself into. Unless you go off on a mad village-razing spree. Then he'll try to beat some sense into you. The sword part's just incidental, really. Easy to love, hard to forget. Silly Cloud's emo got a little too much in the way else you'd have been able to see that more in canon, Zack assures you.
Item Lost: His. Um. Oh dear. Sword, then. ('Cause he happens to like keeping it around unlike a certain other silver-haired General who goes running around and insists on leaving it in inconvenient places--Tifa's father, President Shinra, and Besaid Island being only a few examples.)
